This contemporary design was built on a sloped site, it incorporates an economical use of space, thus benefiting a tight budget. The house incorporates both new and recycled materials. The woven stainless steel awnings and balustrade are materials typically used in water treatment facilities. A recycled yacht mainsail used for the deck railings provides privacy as well as luminosity for the treetop perch of the deck area. A rotation off the orthogonal grid invigorates the space as well as gives the illusion of a much larger area within the tight floorplan.
